1.(SBU) In response to reftel talking points delivered by
Economic Officer, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Head of
Division for UN-OAS issues Ambassador Michelle Cohen said on
March 7 that the Dominican Republic has not made a decision
regarding who it will support as chair of the OAS Social
Charter Working Group. Talking points were conveyed to
Ambassador Cohen's office earlier, but she was away and
unavailable to comment until March 7. Cohen would not say
whether the Dominicans will favor the chair being selected by
concensus as is customary or will support a vote.
