(S) On December 22 afternoon, reftel talking points were
delivered separately by the Ambassador to Salvadoran Foreign
Minister Francisco Lainez, by MilGrp Commander to MOD Otto
Romero, and by Polcouns to MFA Secretary General Rogelio
Milla. In each instance, USG interlocutors expressed deep
appreciation for the GOES commitment to the Iraq effort and
stressed that we looked forward to continued GOES coalition
presence.
