Poloff delivered reftel talking points Nov 21 to Petr Kavan,
Czech MFA Americas Desk Officer. At his suggestion, Poloff
and Polec Counselor met Nov 25 with Edita Hrda, Director of
the Department of Americas. Hrda said she discussed the OAS
mission in Columbia during her recent trip to Washington, but
has not yet determined whether the Czechs will support the
mission. Because Hrda appeared willing to consider ways the
Czechs can support the mission, Poloff will continue to
follow-up on the issue.
