Post informed Czech MFA at 11:30 local on Sept 10 that the
USG had accepted Czech offer of blankets, camp beds and
tents, and that there was no immediate need for the other
Czech offers. MFA staff coordinator, Jiri Slavik, passed the
details to the Czech Fire Service, which holds the emergency
material, and promised to provide embassy with details once
the logistics for transport had been determined. Pol-Econ
Chief spoke with MFA Deputy Minister Jaroslav Basta to
formally pass the news of acceptance and thanks for the Czech
generosity.
