1. (S/NF) The following information was passed to post's
Ambassador at a function held at his home on Sunday,
September 24. The diplomat who passed the information, which
was typed on a plain white piece of paper, stated he had been
given this information but had no way to check it's veracity
and requested his name and title not be associated with the
information. Ambassador considers this contact to be
reputable.


2. (S/NF) BEGIN TEXT

1. The German Embassy in Sana'a received an unsigned letter
according to which a local employee at the USA Embassy in
Yemen, Mr. Kamal Mohamed Ali, is the leader of a terrorist
group ready to attack the Embassies of the USA, the UK and
Italy in Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Kenya between September 2005
and January 2006.


2. the Islamic group Al-Ittihad Al-Islami is planning some
terrorist activities in Kenya and Somalia, According to
intelligence sources, a jahidisht group is active in Nairobi
(Eastleigh area),led by Mr. Mohamed Hassen, Yemeni citizen
of Somali origin.
Among the possible targets in Somalia, there are the Office
of the President Abdullahi Yusuf, the International
Organisations representatives (especially the African Union
one) and western expatriates working the country. As far as
Kenya is concerned, possible targets include the embassy of
Italy and the Italian special Delegation for Somalia.
