1. On December 17, Deputy Econ/Pol Chief delivered reftel
talking points to Faruque Faquira, Head of Department,
Directorate for International Organizations and Conferences
(DOIC),Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Faquira gave no
substantive response.
2. The Mozambican media ran a few short "general interest"
pieces on the election in Iraq, but has not reported any
official GRM reaction, and neither the president nor his
government have made any public statements of support for the
December 15 Iraq elections.
