1. Charge delivered ref A points to MFA director for
Americas on September 8, Polecon Chief shared the points
with the UN Department at the MFA, and Econoff delivered the
points to the State Secretary at the Ministry of
Agriculture. None were able to definitively commit Slovenia
to joining the International Partnership. Previous
discussions (ref B) on Avian Influenza do show, however,
that the GOS is interested in working at all levels to help
control the spread of the disease. Post will continue to
pursue a commitment to join the Partnership in advance of
the UNGA.
