General Work Requirements:
Eshel Murad is one of four reporting officers in the
Political-Economic Section of the U.S. Consulate
General in Lagos. Mr. Murad takes the lead for
reporting on political developments in the South East
zone of the country. He monitors environmental
developments related to southern Nigeria, including in
the oil producing states of the Niger Delta. Mr. Murad
is responsible for reporting on labor issues and
developments, especially affecting the South.

Areas of Responsibility:
Eshel Murad is responsible for the required Child Labor
report and is the back-up officer for the required
Trafficking in Persons report. He is the first point of
contact for all information requests from the
Department of Labor, and he reports mainly on strike-
related issues, the impact of new labor laws, the
reaction of labor leaders to political events, and he
assists labor organizations with a variety of training
and informational programs administered through the
Consulate public affairs section.

Expected Date of Departure from Post:
June 15, 2006


3. The ticket cost for a direct flight from Lagos to
Cairo is $725 on Egypt Air. Post will cover per diem
and accommodation.
