1. Summary: Kuwaiti Arabic-language daily newspapers
praised a conference examining the role of education in
confronting extremism as being a good initiative taken by
the Ministry of Education. The conference, The First
International Conference on the Educational Dimensions in
the Treatment of Terrorism and Extremism Phenomenon, being
the first international conference to be held in the region
on the topic, was given minimal coverage and there was no
mention of it on any of the front pages of the five major
