SUBJECT: HIGH-LEVEL ATTENDANCE AT 60TH UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Poloff contacted Angella Brown, Deputy Director,
International Organizations Department, Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT) on July 26 to discuss
high-level GOJ attendance at the 60th UN General Assembly.
Brown confirmed that Prime Minister PJ Patterson is currently
expected to attend the UNGA, but that no travel arrangements
have yet been made. Poloff also spoke with a staff member in
the office of Foreign Minister KD Knight, who said that
Knight plans to attend in September, but that his travel
plans have not been finalized. Post will report more
definitive news and travel plans when the information becomes
available.
