1. Econoff delivered the letter provided in reftel to
Angela Brown, Director for International Organizations at
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade on April
11. Brown did not have any immediate comment.
2. Econoff informally conveyed reftel information to
Colonel Torrence Lewis, Director General of the Jamican
Civil Aviation Authority on April 8. Lewis said that
Jamaica and the USG had made good use of their bilateral
relationship in the past, and he expected to do so in the
future. He commented that CARICOM was a good organization
to be a part of, but that it had a tendency to be very
slow in building member consensus.
