(SBU) Charge Judith Chammas met with Health Minister
Khondaker Hussain on August 22 and delivered demarche on
addressing the threat of avian inflenza. The Health Minister
said that although there have been no cases of avian flu
outbreak in Bangladesh, the government is concerned about
this threat and will take necessary action to address it. He
also undertook to assign a senior level point of contact to
facilitate further consultations on this issue.
