1. (U) This is an action message. Please see request in
paragraph 4.


2. (C) During a June 22 meeting, Ambassador Ahmed Tayyeb,
Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs, raised with
A/DCM the cases of six Egyptian citizens the GOE believes may
in the custody of U.S. Multi-National Forces at Camp Bucca,
Iraq. Tayyeb said the GOE had received this information from
the ICRC and had no further details about what these
Egyptians were doing in Iraq or why they might have been
detained.


3. (C) Tayyeb provided an aide-memoire containing the
following data on the detainees:


A. Ahmad Mohammad Abdelhalim Alroubi
DOB 11/1/1955, Detention number: US167346;


B. Maher Mansour Ahmad Almashi
DOB 11/13/1961, Detention number: US167352;


C. Amr Ibrahim Mohammad Mostafa Moussa
DOB 05/21/1976, Detention number: US160032;


D. Kamal Abbas Morsi Moussa
DOB 4/20/1959, Detention number: US167880;


E. Farghali Hamdan Bashir Farghal
DOB 1953, Detention number: US169297;


F. Hossein Alsayed Atieh Moussa
DOB 1951, Detention number: US169327


4. (C) Action Request: Please provide any information
available about the above named detainees that we can share
with the GOE.
