1. On May 30, the Court of Appeals upheld the extradition
order for Carlos Ivan Mendes Mesquita on the grounds the
appeal had not been filed in a timely manner. The defense
has until June 14 to file an appeal to the Supreme Court.
Post expects that the Court should make a final ruling in
the case by the end of June.
2. Post will forward a copy of the decision to L/LEI.
