equipment and materials, installation, spare parts,
testing, startup, technical support, and training.

Internacional INS No. 040/2005. Itaipu Binacional
is the organization in charge of the joint Brazilian-
Paraguayan Itaipu hydroelectric dam. Foreign
bidders must participate only through their duly
registered local agents or representatives.
Specifications cost Guaranies 120,000, and can be
viewed on the Itaipu website, www.itaipu.gov.py.
The present free floating exchange rate is
approximately Guaranies 6,090 per U.S. Dollar. To
purchase specifications interested parties must
submit a note on company letterhead, including name
and address of the foreign firm's authorized
agent/representative in Paraguay, to the Itaipu
Binacional address in Asuncion, Paraguay.
