1. (C) Charge delivered reftel demarche seeking Jordanian
support for the Comprehensive Convention on International
Terrorism to Foreign Minister Qasrawi on June 7. Qasrawi did
not offer a substantive response, but promised to look into
the issue. Charge briefed the British ambassador ahead of
the meeting with Qasrawi, who was uninstructed on the matter
but agreed to convey the U.S. points as his own in a meeting
with Qasrawi scheduled immediately afterwards.
