1. On June 16, Econoffs delivered reftel demarche seeking
support for the World Customs Organization (WCO) Framework of
Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade to
Brigadier-General Baiden, Commissioner of the Government of
Ghana's (GoG) Customs Service. Baiden said he was planning
to attend the June 23-25 WCO meeting in Brussels, and stated
unequivocally that he (and the GoG) plan to support the U.S.
and the WCO Framework.
