1. In response to reftel, Post asked the UAE Ministry of
Justice and the Judicial Training and Studies Institute to
nominate Emirati judges to participate in the May 9-26 IPR
Enforcement Academy and U.S. Study Tour. The Ministry of
Justice nominated three judges, and post supports their
nominations. The nominees are:
-- Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Chief of Abu Dhabi Prosecution
(Attorney General)
-- Daood Ibrahim Abu Shawarib, President of Court at Sharjah
Union Court (Judge)
-- Mohamed Habib Mohamed Al Kamali, Judge at Al Ain First
Instance Court.
2. The Assistant Undersecretary for International
Cooperation and Planning at the Ministry of Justice has
requested we provide the Ministry with the Agenda and details
of the program. Once USPTO has selected the program
participants, post will work with the Ministry of Justice to
coordinate logistics.
