This is CWC-45-04.
1. (S) On the margins of the March 23-26 Executive Council
session of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical
Weapons, the U.S. delegation delivered to the Iranian
delegation the cover letter (signed by Ambassador Javits)
contained in paragraph 8 of reftel and the list of questions
in paragraph 9. The Iranian delegation provided no immediate
comment, but subsequently informed us they anticipated there
would be a delay in receiving a formal response for the USG
from Teheran.
