(S) EconOffs delivered reftel demarche to Spain's Financial
Intelligence Unit (SEPBLAC) on 9/29/04. SEPBLAC officers
said they would use the information in reftel demarche in
checking their databases for relevant information. EconOffs
also delivered on 9/29/04 the demarche to the MFA's Miguel
Enrique Garcia Herraiz. He said his "initial" reaction was
that it should not be a problem for Spain to support adding
the JTJ to the UN's 1267 Sanctions Committee's consolidated
list of individuals/entities. Herraiz said he would send the
information we provided him to Spain's UN mission. EconOffs
will also be delivering reftel demarche to the Ministry of
Economy.
