(C) German DCM to Kuwait Hans-Udo Muzel (protect) told CDA on
August 24 that he and his French counter-part would be making
a joint presentation to the GOK on German interest in a UNSC
permanent seat. Muzel characterized the approach as neutral
i.e. no particular model for UNSC expansion was being
advocated, but with his French colleague he would advise the
GOK of Germany's arguments in favor of claiming a permanent
seat. He said similar German-French presentations were being
made world-wide.
