2. (C) Post has received diplomatic note number 20040895
dated April 21, 2004 from MFA, formally proposing May 3 (vice
April 26 in reftel) as the date for a GOK delegation to visit
Washington, DC/Ft. Belvoir to discuss the Kuwaiti nationals
detained at Guantanamo. The note provides the following
information about the two-person delegation the GOK proposes
to send:
- Mr. Sultan Majed S M Bujarwah, Attorney General of Kuwait,
dpob 27DEC1960 Kuwait, Special passport 003192
- Mr. Mohammed Y M R Alsane, Prosecuting District Attorney,
dpob 11APR1977 Kuwait, regular passport 001375574
3. (C) Action Request: State Department please confirm
soonest whether May 3 is acceptable. Poc is A/DCM Richard
Bell, who can be reached throughout the weekend via the
Embassy's 24/7 Marine Guard at 965 538 2098.
