1. (C) In the absence of Foreign Minister Muasher, PolCouns
covered ref points March 15 with Ali al-Ayed, Director of
FonMin Muasher's Private Office. Ayed thanked PolCouns for
the presentation, noting that Jordan remains very concerned
with the situation in Iraq. He asked that the USG continue
to consult with Jordan as the June 30 transfer date
approaches, and notify Jordan if any point in the TAL is
amended or is unlikely to be implemented.
