DRAFT TEXT DELIVERED

Classified by Richard A. Albright, Charge d'Affaires,
a.i., reasons

(S) Post provided the new U.S. draft of a remote
sensing space cooperation agreement and conveyed
points in reftel to the UAEG. Polchief delivered the
text of the Government-to-Government Agreement and
left points as a non-paper during a July 29 meeting at
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Shaykha Najla Al-
Qassimi, special assistant to Under Secretary Abdullah
Rashid Al-Nuaimi. Polchief noted that the U.S.
interagency team would welcome an Emirati delegation
to Washington once the UAE has reviewed and evaluated
the U.S. text. Separately, Acting DAO provided the
new U.S. draft agreement to Col. Mahash Al-Hameli,
