2. (SBU) Armenian MFA United Nations Division Chief
Artak Apitonian confirmed on November 25 that the
GOAM would support U.S. candidate Felice Gaer for
the United Nations Committee Against Torture.
Apitonian said that the MFA had instructed Armenia's
mission in Geneva to be as "helpful as possible"
with USG efforts on Ms. Gaer's behalf.
