1. (C) For the period beginning 0500 April 10 and ending 0500

2,405,280 barrels per day. Average production from Northern
Kuwaiti fields averaged 421,907 barrels per day for the
period.

2. (C) The average stock level for Kuwait Export Crude during
the five-day period was 6,726,632 barrels, with a peak of

Company firefighting team extinguished the last oil well
burning in the Rumeila field on April 13.

4. (SBU) The local ChevronTexaco manager has informed the
Embassy that the company's employees will return to work on
Saturday, April 19. ChevronTexaco provides a wide range of
services to the Kuwait Oil Company under the terms of a

contender for "Project Kuwait" to assist in the development
of Kuwait's Northern oil fields.

5. (SBU) Post will provide these summary updates on Mondays
and Wednesdays until further notice, with further updates
provided as events warrant.

6. (C) KPC continues to supply the Embassy with detailed
production reports; readers interested in receiving these
full reports or the Microsoft Excel database Embassy has
created are invited to submit their requests via SIPRNet
e-mail to SchwartzTPKuwait@state.sgov.gov.
