1. SITREP NO. 30 AS OF 1800 HOURS LOCAL, 1000 HOURS WASHINGTON TIME APRIL 02, 2003. 2. EVENTS SINCE LAST SITREP (all reported times are Kuwait Local, GMT plus three): -------------------------- Security/Military -------------------------- Nothing to report. -------------------------- Political -------------------------- Six Kuwaiti citizens telephoned expressing support for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Received call from representative of Kuwait-based American company offering donations of personal and food items to American troops; referred caller to Embassy's Foreign Commercial Service section. Received several calls from Kuwaitis volunteering as interpreters; callers referred to Ministry of Defense. -------------------------- Consular -------------------------- An American residing in Saudi Arabia telephoned from the Saudi Arabia-Kuwait border inquiring about Kuwait's visa policy; caller was informed that a visa is required for entry into Kuwait and can be obtained from the Kuwaiti Embassy in Riadyh. -------------------------- Management -------------------------- Nothing to report. -------------------------- Public Affairs -------------------------- A reporter from a Columbia, South Carolina newspaper telephoned to request an interview with an Embassy official; caller was referred to the Embassy's Public Affairs section. 3.
