Embassy operations center received 14 phone calls (12
women, 2 men) expressing outrage and sorrow at the
television reports carried by the Al-Jazeera television
network of alleged U.S. prisoners and casualties. One
caller stated her desire to present flowers to the
Embassy.
At the request of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry, Embassy
prepared a brief fact sheet outlining U.S. humanitarian
aid commitments to Iraq.

requested Embassy assistance to leave Kuwait.
