Mission. Reasons 1.5 (b, d)
2. (C) Per Reftel, Mission conveyed the points on the
expected NAM statement on Iraq to the Sri Lankan and
Maldivian governments on February 22. Responding to the
Ambassador, key GSL Minister Milinda Moragoda was
sympathetic to the U.S. points and promised to relay the
message to the GSL's delegation at the NAM Summit.
Mission did not receive any response from the GoRM.
