(C) DG for Bilateral Political Affairs Apakan told DCM
October 9 that FM Gul and Greek FM Papandreou had agreed to
cancel the respective Turkish-Cypriot and Greek-Cypriot
military exercises that were scheduled to take place on
Cyprus later in the fall. Apakan said the agreement came
during a meeting on the margins of a Mediterranean Forum
meeting in Antalya earlier that day (October 9).
