(C) The ethnic Tibetan activist detained at a March 10
demonstration outside the Chinese Embassy (Reftel) was
released by Nepal's police March 14. The man, who goes by
the single name Yonten, alleged that police beat him while
taking him into custody, but reported that he was not
mistreated while in jail.
