1. (C) On two separate occasions within the past
several weeks, Minister of Defense T.Y. Danjuma has
assured me that the OFR trained battalion currently in
Serti will be rotated out to participate in UNAMSIL.
Danjuma said that he has reiterated the order for the
rotation and that there had been no internal army
resistance to his orders.
2. (SBU) The battalion, according to Danjuma, was in
its final stage of departure preparations and would be
leaving for Sierra Leone very soon.
